How to Install
Method 1: Manual Installation
- Download the extension ZIP file above
- Unzip the downloaded file
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/ - Enable "Developer mode" (top right toggle)
- Click "Load unpacked"
- Select the unzipped extension folder
- Done! The VidSnap icon will appear in your toolbar
Method 2: Chrome Web Store
Coming soon! We're working on getting the extension approved on the Chrome Web Store for easier installation.
The manual installation method works perfectly and is just as safe. Chrome shows a warning for unpacked extensions, but this is normal for extensions not installed from the Web Store.
How to Use
1. Browse Facebook
Go to any Facebook video you want to download
2. Click Extension
Click the VidSnap icon in your browser toolbar
3. Download
Click "Download This Video" and choose your quality

Extension FAQ
Yes! The extension only has permissions to access Facebook pages and doesn't collect any personal data. The source code is transparent and the extension only communicates with VidSnap.net.
Chrome shows this warning for all extensions installed manually (not from the Chrome Web Store). It's a standard security notice and doesn't mean the extension is unsafe. Once we're approved on the Chrome Web Store, this warning will disappear.
Try refreshing the Facebook page. If the button still doesn't appear, click the VidSnap extension icon in your toolbar and use the "Download This Video" button, or paste the video URL manually.
